
Extraction and Separation of Suqing Brand Resin on Antibiotics and Natural Medicines
The use of adsorption resin for the extraction and separation of natural drugs has the advantages of high extraction efficiency, good product quality, simple process, and low production cost. In the extraction of antibiotics and natural drugs, resins not only have good selectivity for these drug components, but also have a concentration effect (generally can increase the concentration by 10 times).
1、 Application of antibiotics: For example, our SQ-122 resin is mainly used for the extraction of antibiotics such as streptomycin, gentamicin and penicillin.

2. The method used is:
2.1 First, backwash the filled resin with pure water, and control the backwashing expansion rate of more than 80% until the backwashing water is clear, colorless, tasteless, and foam free;
2.2 Convert the resin to RH type with 3-5% hydrochloric acid, a volume of 3 times the resin volume, and a flow rate of 2-3 times the resin volume, and soak for more than 2 hours; Then rinse with pure water until neutral;
2.3. Inject 3-5% NaOH solution, use a flow rate of 2-3 times the resin volume at a volume of 3 times the resin volume, then convert the resin to RNa type and soak for more than 2 hours; Then rinse with pure water until neutral and ready for use.
2、 Extraction from Chinese herbal medicine: The use of adsorption resin for the extraction and separation of effective ingredients in Chinese herbal medicine not only reduces energy consumption, shortens extraction time, improves drug efficacy, and reduces costs, but also changes the traditional dosage form of Chinese medicine.

2. Pre treatment method for adsorption resin:
After the resin is loaded into the column, the resin is loaded according to the design amount. To ensure the clarity and transparency of the treated material, it is crucial to remove oligomers in the new resin and impurities that may be brought in during the loading process. The following methods must be followed for operation:
2.1. Backwash the resin and control the appropriate backwash expansion rate. The backwash expansion rate of DA201-H is about 80-100%. Be careful not to flush out normal particles of resin to remove air and suspended impurities from the resin in the column. The time is about 30-60 minutes, and the water used is raw water or softened water.
2.2. Inject 5-7% NaCl solution into each column, and soak for more than 12 hours when the salt concentration in the effluent reaches 3-4%.
2.3. Rinse the NaCl solution in the resin thoroughly with pure water.
2.4. Inject a 90% ethanol solution twice the volume of the resin into the column, soak it for 8 hours, and then rinse with pure water until the effluent is diluted with water without turbidity. Then use pure water to backwash according to the above backwashing method until the backwashed water is clear and has no obvious ethanol odor. It is ready for use.
3. Overfeeding: The column feed liquid is required to be free of sediment, neutral or slightly acidic (pH 4-7 is preferred), and to remove tannin. When the leakage of the target product in the outlet effluent reaches a certain concentration (such as 5% or self determined), it is the adsorption endpoint. Feeding speed: 2-4BV is appropriate.
4. Analysis:
Clean the resin layer with pure water. At the beginning, there will be pigment carried out from the washed product. When the outlet of the water wash is relatively clear, a solvent can be used for analysis, and the eluent can be collected for concentration to obtain the desired product. The optimal analytical flow rate is one time the resin volume.
3、 Regular pollution prevention treatment of adsorption resin:
When the resin is used for a certain period of time, it will be contaminated by organic matter to some extent, and the adsorption capacity will be reduced. To reduce the degree of pollution, it is recommended to handle it regularly as follows: pass through the resin with a flow rate of 2-3BV using a 3-5% hydrochloric acid solution that is 3 times the amount of resin, soak for 4 hours, and then rinse thoroughly with pure water. Then pass a mixture of 2% NaOH+7% NaCl three times the volume of the resin through the resin layer and soak for 8 hours (preferably heating the mixture to 30-40 ℃). Then rinse with pure water until the pH is basically neutral and ready for use.
